FIRST TIMERS, START HERE:

Rock climbing is a great experience that all ages can enjoy. The most basic thing we offer is a Day Pass with the Gear Rental package. The average time people spend at the gym is 2 to 3 hours, but you can stay ALL DAY if you'd care to. The gear rental package includes everything you need: sticky rubber rock climbing shoes, safety harness, a carabiner and belay device. Wear some comfortable, athletic clothes.

Included with every Day Pass is a safety Belay Class. We'll teach you and a partner how to tie into the rope and belay for each other. The belayer stays on the ground and pulls the climber's rope through a special "belay device" that assists you to catch the climber when he or she falls. It's so easy, a belayer weighing 100 pounds can easily catch a 250 pound climber with one hand! If you're bringing your child, but not climbing yourself, we'll teach you how to belay for free, including the necessary gear. Belaying is a responsible job. You must be 14 years or older to take the belay class.

Once you've learned the safety basics, there's over 8500 square feet of vertical territory to explore. Everything from easy low angle walls to cliffs 36 feet high. There's also 3500 square feet of bouldering in a two story cave and tunnel system. Bouldering is climbing close to the ground so you won't need the ropes and harnesses.
